A room that reflects your family, not a catalogue.
Southern Design & Remodeling opened in 2012 with a vision to pull together a passionate team of designers to create spaces that enrich lives. We pride ourselves on capturing the essence of a person or a family and turning it into cherished kitchens, bathrooms, or any other space in your home.
We think about functionality and how to extend the family room into your kitchen. We want your space to be beautiful, to serve your needs and to echo your vision and dreams.
“Our goal is to create a reflection of you and your family’s individuality.”
The rooms we design
Kitchens, baths and basements. The same designers, showroom and trusted crews take on the rest of the house.
Kitchens
Complete kitchen remodels, planned for how the room works as much as how it looks: the island, the storage, the walls that can come down so the family room and the kitchen become one space.
Bathrooms
Bathroom remodels: vanities, showers, freestanding tubs, tile and fixtures, designed in the same studio as our kitchens.
Basements
Finished lower levels with wet bars, built-ins and the cabinetry and tile to make them feel like part of the house.
Laundry rooms and other spaces
Along with your kitchen, we bring the same design and expertise to the other spaces in your home, so every remodeled room follows one theme.

Opening up the rooms you already have
Our designers look at the whole floor, not just the cabinets, and work out how to extend the family room into your kitchen so the space works as one.
“Taking 5 rooms and making them up one beautiful area WOW! It's picture perfect!”
- Design
We listen first
A designer sits down with you, hears how you live and what the budget is, and draws options that fit the house you have. Honest advice included, even when the answer is a smaller project.
- Selection
Choose it in person
Cabinet door styles, finishes, countertops, fixtures, tile and flooring, picked with your designer from the lines on display in our showroom.
- Construction
One team on the job
Our project managers and contractors carry the plan through. Already have a general contractor you are comfortable with? You can work with them instead.
- Finishing
Handed back ready to use
Details finished, the plan and budget kept, and a room you can start living in. Ready for the next one when you are.
“When we started the project I didn't believe it could be done in the short 4-6 week time frame given, but Ross and Ernesto were on top of things from start to finish and we were using our new kitchen after 5 weeks.”

What our clients say

“We worked with the team at SDR for a complete kitchen remodel. We initially met with four different companies to review designs and loved SDR for Princess's outside of the box design. Everyone else suggested the expected simple design. She did an amazing job creating one large room and effectively using all of the space we had available. The functionality of our kitchen has improved dramatically. Lori and Princess were great to work with while going through design selections. I was able to show them what I was looking for and they helped me bring it to life. When we started the project I didn't believe it could be done in the short 4-6 week time frame given, but Ross and Ernesto were on top of things from start to finish and we were using our new kitchen after 5 weeks. Thanks to the SDR team for creating our dream kitchen. We will be sure to call them for any projects we have in the future. -Katie”
“Although I did not wind up hiring this company, I feel I need to submit a highly positive review because of the professional, transparent, and honest way they do business. This company specializes in beautiful kitchen make-overs which result in improved functionality and enhanced enjoyment of the space. The Southern Design representative who came to my home evaluated my needs and made several valuable suggestions. It turns out that my goals for my small kitchen project will be better achieved with a limited face-lift from an ordinary contractor. I was extremely impressed by the honesty of the assessment and the expertise of the representative. If a larger remodeling project comes up in the future, I will call this company right away.”
“We cannot recommend Southern Design and Remodeling highly enough! The entire process was seamless- from design, to selection, to construction and finishing. Carolina’s design for our kitchen was stunning, and her attention to detail helped to transform our late 90s kitchen into a modern kitchen of our dreams. Ernesto and his team were professional, punctual, and got the work done according to plan and budget, and on time. Our new kitchen is absolutely beautiful, and the customer service provided by Southern Design and Remodeling is unmatched!”
“We had a great experience working with our designer Mitch Wilson and the entire team at Southern Design & Remodeling. Mitch listened to our ideas and gave us many creative design options within our budget. He was easy to work with and provided a unified theme to our kitchen, bathrooms and laundry room. He also followed the overall design style of the house and all the remodeled rooms look stunning! We also enjoyed working with the office staff, project managers and contractors. Everyone was knowledgeable and attentive.”
“Having been in our 40 year old home for over 17 years, we have done many updates. I have to say that SRD was the greatest one to work with! Everyone on TEAM SDR worked so well together, from design, planning and execution. I now have my dream living area & kitchen. Taking 5 rooms and making them up one beautiful area WOW! It's picture perfect!”
